THE BOOK OF GENEALOGY
What is the Book of Kin or Genealogy Book? How and where can you find it? These are just some of the questions that may come up when making a family tree. So where do we start?
STEP #1 - GATHER INFORMATION
We recommend starting by gathering all of the information about your family that is readily available to you. Whether it is documents of identity or verbal stories from relatives - the main objective is to gather this information and compile it to share with us. It is important to know not only the relevant dates of birth or years of life, but also the place of birth, area of residence, what they did, the closest relatives, or even neighbors. Last name and First name are, of course, the foundation. But earlier (and rarer) sources may also contain nicknames or family names. All of this will help us in our work with the archives. For more details on our sources, see here.
Along with the writings and records in the archives, we also recommend using a DNA test. Together, these resources will allow you to find information about your relatives up to the 18th century.

STEP #2 - FILL OUT THE REQUEST FORM ON OUR WEBSITE

Fill out the request form for us to do research on the data you have. We will help you fill in the gaps so that the research can be conducted faster and more accurately.
At this stage, it is important to decide on the depth of the research. But if there is some very interesting information that you would like to include in the research - we can discuss the details to ensure we are able to compile as much information about your genealogical tree as is available.
STEP #3 - CONDUCTING RESEARCH
At this stage, we investigate all the available resources, conduct a DNA test if you authorize it, and all the results are compiled and analyzed.
Depending on the source and depth of the research, it can take anywhere from one to five months or more. To expedite the process, a DNA test will be a good asset.

STEP #4 - THE GENEALOGY BOOK, OR THE FAMILY TREE
We will deliver our findings in the following options:
• A statement is a document with links to where the information was found
• A statement with electronic scans of documents where the information was found
• A genealogical tree or chart, a certificate of the presence of documents in sources, and relevant scans
• Electronic Album
The references are mainly intended for keeping inside the family archives, while the Genealogical Tree (Scheme) and Electronic Album can be proudly shown to all relatives or guests.
The family tree or scheme can be put on a variety of different physical media - from wallpaper to wooden canvases, carpets, portrait embroidery, etc. But there is also the possibility of seeing it digitally. Specifically, at https://www.myheritage.com/. By posting your DNA test results to the site, clients have been able to find a significant number of additional relatives. In parallel, you will become a part of the Armenian DNA Project, which stores information from more than 4,000 Armenians around the world.
Another option for an electronic version could be to create your own family website using a “.family” domain.

The electronic album can be completed with information about historical places of significance in the history of your family. It can also be enriched with details about the occupations of your ancestors. There is no limit on the amount of information that can be collected in the Album.
Once it's ready, it can be submitted to specialized publishers to bind a beautiful physical copy to share with the world or enjoy by yourself.

We are looking forward to your requests and will be happy to compile all the information we could for you!
